The looking glass

Mirrors are also known as the looking glasses. Mirrors are the objects which have one surface glossy and they reflect light to show us images. The mirrors are widely used all over the world. Since the inception of mirrors in the first century AD they have grown in popularity. There is no part of the human civilization which is untouched by the use of the mirrors. Previously the glass was placed on gold leaves to make the mirrors look fancy items, slowly with the rise in the demand of the mirrors the glass was boarded on inexpensive metals and sold to households.

The mirrors are actually made of glass painted and molded over metals. One side of the glass is kept as it is for reflecting and creating images. The other side of the glass is painted with mercury to darken it. The darkening of the other side of the mirror or the glass is done to prevent light from passing through it. If the glass is kept unpainted the light would enter from one side and pass through the other. The glass is a complete transparent object and light would pass through it reflecting no rays back. The image would not be formed and the basic purpose of the mirrors would not be served.

Injury Claim

In this modern world, there are plenty of dangers on everyone’s life. A person can get injured at any time, and an injury comes without any intimation. This can occur while walking, driving car, working at a plant or a medical injury. All this may bring some unbearable experience in one’s life. A way to battle this experience is through claiming Injury Claim. Since it can happen with anyone, it is always better if a person knows what an injury claim is and how do address it.

An injury claim falls in two wide categories, personal injury claim and work injury claim. In personal injury claim, the claim is against a person, whereas the work injury claim is against the employer or a legal entity.

The damage for which an injury claim may be divided is also of two types, General Damage and Special Damage. The general damage category is for any physical or psychological pain or suffering caused as a direct result of the accident. Special damage is usually fixed and paid for some special losses. Some of these special damage include, a payment for medical treatment, loss of earnings or the amount paid, if you had to hire any equipment because of yours being damaged.
